Summer primark haul

Hey guys! So I've recently taken a visit to primark (aka the best shop for summer clothes) to pick up some summer clothing items. Summer clothes are seriously my weakness!! I'm obsessed and they're all so pretty so I had to try and limit myself haha!

So first of all is probably one out of my favourite items I picked up. It's this beautiful orange layered vest top. It has a round neck, and there are two straps each side which cross over at the back making it look even prettier. It is slightly cropped and has white pom poms at the bottom of each layer. The colour and style are just perfect for summer even if your not going on holiday. This was £6. (It was extremely hard to take a photo of, because of the bright colour it made the lighting go extremely dark! So sorry there's no photo!)

Next to go with this top is my final favourite item I picked up, a pair of patterned shorts. These are really fashionable at the minute and I see loads of people wearing them. The pattern is so pretty, and the orange goes perfectly with the top. They're also quite baggy which is unusual but I really like them. Also unlike most shorts they're not extremely short. I think these were about £5!

Another pair of shorts I picked up also has the pom pom detailing at the bottom.  I literally couldn't decide which colour to get these. I went with the mint green colour, they also had them in bright/neon pink and a light purple. Again these aren't too short, they're super light and comfy so great for the summer, and such a bargain at £3!

Next I bought this gorgeous jumpsuit/playsuit. I literally couldn't get over the pattern, it's so pretty and the colours go extremely well together and it's great for summer. It's super light and flowy, I think it would also be easy to either dress up or down. This was also around £5 I think.

I also picked up this coverup kind of thing. It has little shapes cut out of it that you can see through, so I picked this up for over a bikini on holidays when your going to the pool or beach. When I saw this in the shop it looked quite long more like a dress, but it is extremely short so I would advise going a size up if you want it to be a suitable length for a  dress. It is so pretty and will look really effective over the top of a bikini and for £6 it's a great buy.

Finally I picked up these stunning flip flops. The colour and pattern is just great for the summer and for £1.50 you can't go wrong.

I hope you've enjoyed this haul!

4 ways to style a basic tee!

Hey guys, so today I've got a different kind of post, and I'm going to be showing you 4 ways to style a basic tee. I have a few of these and they're great for chilled summer days, and they look even better once they're styled differently.

So first of all you need to put your basic tee on. I'm using this I heart NY one which I got from New York City.

1. Rolled sleeves look
Now if your tee has super long sleeves like mine does as it's quite big for me, then all you need to do is roll the sleeves up as high as you want them. This makes it look so much more effective, and makes it look a bit more fitted.

2. Tucked in look
Now if it's super long or big for you, tucking it into some leggings or high wasted jeans will make it look much better.

3. Cropped hipster look
For the summer, I love wearing cropped tops, so I thought I could turn this into one. It's super hard to explain, but it's really easy to do. You basically just need to get the excess from the bottom and pull it up to the length you want it, bring it all to the side, and get a thin hair bobble, a clear one would look much better, and tie it on. You can pull the top bit slightly over so you can't see the hair tie, which is what I kind of did.

4. Cropped tucked in look
Now for this, you need to do the same as what you did for number 3, and then just tuck the excess bit at the side in. This means that you can't see the bobble, it looks more of a messy tucked in cropped top look.

I hope you've enjoyed this different kind of post and I hope it's helped!

Rimmel 25 hour lasting finish range

Hey guys, so I've recently been using products from the rimmel lasting finish range. I've been searching for some base makeup products that last all day, as it's now summer and there's nothing worse than being at school when your makeup melts and it just ends up making your face extremely shiny.

First of all I'm going to talk about the foundation. I got this in the colour Ivory, which is probably too light for my skin tone, but the powder balances the colour out. The range of shades in the foundations are not great, as it goes from light to dark. There isn't really much of an in between colour which is what I need. However the colour Ivory lightens my face and makes it look brighter so it's actually okay.
It's a dewey foundation, and can be rather shiny without a powder. For a foundation, it smells amazing. I wouldn't recommend this for dry skin, as it does kind of stick to the skin, so it emphasises dry patches or parts where your skin may be a little flaky. I have combination skin, it rubs in amazingly on the oily parts, however on the dryer parts it is pretty difficult.
I would say it's a medium coverage foundation, but is very easily built up. It can be quite difficult to work with in big areas, so I would say this would actually work better as a concealer.
It claims to last 25 hours which I don't agree with as it only lasts a few hours on its own, without the primer and powder. It also has SPF 20 which of course is even better for the summer.

Next I'm going to talk about the primer.  this claims to increase foundation wear for up to 8 hours. I agree with this as this primer definitely keeps my makeup on throughout the day. The primer is white so it doesn't give coverage, it acts a bit like a moisturiser.

Finally it's the powder. I got this in the shade 002 soft beige and it claims to last 25 hours which I don't agree with, it lasts around 8 hours and then becomes extremely shiny. There isn't a transparent one, so this powder gives coverage which means it's great for those patches where the foundation doesn't quite rub in as well as in other parts. It mattifies the foundation which is great if you already have oily skin so you don't want a dewey foundation.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and it's helped you.

3 current high end favourites

Hey guys, so my last post was a drugstore favourites, so I thought I'd do a high end version as you all liked the drugstore post.

First of all, the product I mentioned in a previous post, this Mac lipstick in the shade 'ramblin rose'. It's such a beautiful coral, rose gold shade, with a bit of shimmer which is just perfect for the summer.

Next is benefit roller lash. I got this free in the Elle magazine a few months ago, and I absolutely hated it. This was because it used to irritate my eye, and constantly feel like something was in my eye. However I've now realised it must have been the way I was applying it! I absolutely love it now, it separates my lashes so well and gives my lashes huge amounts of length. It's currently my favourite mascara.

Finally it's 'eyebrows' by Mac. I bought this back when i was in New York, and the lovely people in the shop matched the colours to my eyebrows so I found the perfect shade. This is £13.50 in the UK which I think is very expensive however it's totally worth it. It's a pencil applicant but you twist it up rather than sharpening it. It's super easy to create an amazing brow shape, and if you press on lightly it looks completely natural. It stays on the brows for around 4 hours, but if you press on harder when applying it, it creates a darker look but stays on all day.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and it's helped you.
