My everyday makeup routine!

Hey guys, so today I'm going to be showing you my everyday makeup routine, and its a collab with the lovely Amy from lipstickandthegirl, you can find her blog here.

So this makeup routine is super easy, it takes me 10 minutes so it's perfect for when your in a rush, basically everyday for school. I start off doing my face makeup (foundation etc) then go onto eyes and then finish with eyebrows.

1. Prime
On a school day, I always prime my face, as it helps my makeup stay on all day, which is a huge bonus as I don't particularly want to be topping it up at school. This has been a new thing to me, as I've only recently started using primers, and I love this rimmel fix and perfect one.

2. Base
I use foundation as the base of my makeup as it evens out my skin tone, and hides redness to the cheeks. At the minute I'm using the collection naturally matt foundation. I'm not that keen on this, as it doesn't actually make my skin matt, and I'm not keen on the consistency, but it is good for evening the skin tone.

3. Covering blemishes
Next, in case I have quite a lot of spots that day, and the foundation hasn't covered them, I will put some concealer on. I use my real techniques expert face brush to buff it all in, which leaves a great finish. I use a natural collection conceler, which is actually quite good for around £3!

4. Setting it
To set my makeup in order for it to last as long as possible, and to also give it a matte finish (which is what I need for oily prone skin) I use the rimmel stay matte powder. I love this, and it is so good. To do this, I use the real techniques powder brush.

5. Eyes
For my eyes I just use mascara. This is my favourite mascara, as it has quite a big bushy brush so it doesn't take long to apply and it gives loads of volume. I use the max factor wild mega volume mascara.

6. Eyebrows
Finally I do my eyebrows, and I just fill them in using my collection work the brow kit. I use the medium shade, and if you want to see my review on this product then click here.

Benefit roller lash

Hey guys, so if you haven't already heard of the benefit roller lash, then it's a new mascara by the brand benefit. I don't think the full sized version is out yet, I picked this up in the Elle magazine, for £4.

So I was super excited to try this, as I've never had any products from benefit before, and I knew that everyone had already been raving about this product.

First of all, the packaging is so pretty, and definitely straight away draws people into purchasing the product. It has a black and rose gold theme, which is certainly 'in' at the moment.

The brush is certainly different, and at first it feels really weird to apply. Personally I prefer mascaras with bigger brushes, as they give more volume, so I wouldn't usually go for a product like this. It takes quite a lot of time to apply, as it doesn't go on very easily, so straight away this wouldn't be one of my everyday products. Once it's been applied, you can certainly tell that it curls your lashes, it gives a bit of length, but for me it didn't give any volume. And after around an hour of it being on, my lashes go back down, so you can't tell that you've used it.

I wasn't very impressed with this product, and I thought it would be quite a lot better. Personally I won't be buying this again, and in my opinion, it's not worth the hype. Especially for £19.50, but for those of you who prefer the smaller brush mascaras, this is probably a good mascara for you, as it does give quite a lot of detail.

I hope you enjoyed this review and it helped you.

My pamper evening routine!

Hey guys, so today I'm going to be showing you my pamper evening essentials, and what I do on a pamper evening. I usually have a pamper evening once a week, it's usually a Sunday as I like to be pampered at the end of the weekend so I'm ready for the week ahead.

First of all, I will usually run a bath, and at the moment I'm using my Zoella beauty fizz bar. I'm not amazingly impressed with this, as it is quite simple, but it still smells lovely, and keeps your skin soft. (Sorry for the messy packaging!!)

Next I will wash my hair with my favourite shampoo, and at the moment I'm using the Lush 'I love juicy'. It smells amazing!!

I also use my hair growth treatment on my pamper evening. Once I've finished using this, a review will be coming.

Whilst I'm in the bath, I will use a body scrub, and I got this one in a boots gift set for Christmas. The scent is lovely!

I don't moisturise my skin every single day, as it is time consuming. But on my pamper evening I moisturise with my favourite moisturiser. At the moment it's from the body shop in the strawberry fragrance.

Once I'm out of the bath, I will paint my nails ready for school.

Then I will usually relax, and read a book. At the minute I'm reading Fleur's glam guide, and I'm loving it. Again a review will be coming once I've finished it!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Leave a comment on what your essentials are for your pamper evening.

Love, Tanya

Hey guys, so today I'm here reviewing Tanya Burr's book. If you don't already know who she is, then she's a youtuber, and a blogger.

First of all, the front cover, and the spine are absolutely beautiful. They look so pretty, and it's really well designed. The book has quite a variety of things in it. It's factual, but also has some chapters that are a biography. The first two chapters, are about Tanya growing up, and her life. After the growing up part, most of the book is factual, and her opinions on things, as well as some of her experiences. The rest of the chapters include:
- Skincare essentials
- Make up essentials
- Hair and nail essentials
- Fashion
- Love
- Life
- Baking & recipies
- Confidence & happiness
- Youtube
- Looking forwards

I love how this book is a mixture of her life and experiences, her top tips, and her opinions on things, as well as some factual points. I finished this book in around 1 week, I literally couldn't put it down. It was extremely helpful, especially the makeup chapter (as I'm not the best at applying makeup) so it really helped me. This will definitely be my go-to book when needing some advice! There are some yummy recipies in there as well which I think I may have to try out.

I absolutely loved this book, and I would definitely reccommend it, especially if your a girly-girl. It's also a great price, mine was half price in Whsmiths for £6.50.

Small beauty haul!

Hey guys, so I went shopping last weekend, and I thought I would show you some of the beauty items I purchased.

First of all, I went to primark, and I noticed they had a matte nail varnish top coat. I haven't seen many of these before so I was certainly eager to try it out.

Next, also from primark, I bought an instant removal nail polish pot. I have never seen anything like this before. I love wearing nail varnish, and I change my polish every week, so if this works, it will totally complete my life.

Finally from primark, I bought a blusher brush. I don't wear blusher often, only usually when I'm going out, so a cheap £1 primark brush, will not do any harm, especially because the primark brushes are actually really good for the value!

Then from superdrug, I bought a rimmel lasting finish primer. Recently I have been using primers for the first time, and they certainly help to keep your makeup on for longer, but I thought if I tried this out, it may help my makeup stay on all day.

Also from superdrug, I bought my first ever real technique brushes! Everybody raves about these, and I thought it was about time for me to try them out. I bought the powder brush, and the expert face brush, and so far I have been loving them. If you would like a separate review on these, then please feel free to comment!

I hope you have enjoyed my shopping haul!

January favourites 2015

Hey guys, so today I'm here with my January favourites! I hope you enjoy this post.

So first of all, we will start with beauty related favourites.

1. Wild mega volume max factor mascara.
I have been loving this mascara for ages, it's literally so good, it makes your lashes super dark, volumised and it also gives them length, so overall this is a perfect mascara. It also only takes about 10 seconds to apply! So if your often in a rush, this is a great product.

2. Rimmel fix and perfect primer.
I have never used primers before I purchased this, and now I will never look back! This is amazing, it's a white colour, and it's easy to rub in, and it makes your makeup go on easier, also it makes your makeup stay on your face all day.

Next, onto my hair favourites of the month.

1. Lee Stafford treatment for hair that never grows past a certain length.
I got this for Christmas, and have been using it for around a month now, and I can see a huge improvement in my hair length. I will do a separate blog post review on this once I've finished using it.

2. Essence ultimate shine heat protection spray.
This is another product I received for Christmas, and it is really good. It protects your hair from any heat eg straighteners, curlers, hair dryers etc, and it smells AMAZING!

Onto my favourite scent of the month:

Jack wills English velvet body spray.
I received this in a set for Christmas, and this is by far my favourite. I take it to school, as it's great for freshening up throughout the day.

Finally my favourite book

Love, Tanya, by Tanya Burr
This has only been out a few days, but I felt like I had to include it. I'm so far into the book already, and I love it! I like how it has help and advice in it as well, so it's not just a biography.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
