5 winter staples

Hey guys, first of all I'm going to say I hope you all had an amazing Christmas! Today I'm doing a post that was requested, so I hope you all enjoy it.

1. The tartan scarf.
When I bought this I wasn't sure about it, and now I love it, and I see pretty much everyone with one.
- new look £9.99

2. Dark & red lips.
This was a BIG risk for me to have dark lips, but they look great, and it certainly suits the winter season.
- collection, lasting colour, shade 3, sugar plum £2.99
- barry m, lip lacquer crayon, shade no. 3

3. Jumpers.
Jumpers are so simple and yet really pretty, and they are great for the winter season, as they can be layered with things underneath to keep you warm. £9.99

4. Statement necklace.
If you don't fancy wearing a scarf, a statement necklace is a great way to jazz up your jumper.
- primark £4.99

5. Black jeans.
Black jeans are similar to leggings, but look more effective and are 10x warmer. I went with some black jeggings and they look great paired with a jumper.
- topshop £35

I hope you enjoyed this post, and it gave you some inspiration on some fashion choices you could make over the next few months.

Christmas Tag 2014

Hey guys, so today I'm here doing a tag post. I haven't actually been tagged in it, but i saw someone doing it, and i thought it would make a great post. I tag all of you who want to do this post.

  1. When do you start getting excited about Christmas?
I usually start getting excited about Christmas around the end of November.

  2. Do you still have advent calendars?
OF COURSE!!!! These cheer me up on cold winter mornings when you have to get up and walk to school! And of course, when you get your advent calendar out, the countdown to Christmas begins!

  3. What are you favourite Christmas films?
My all time fav is probably home alone, I'm not sure if this is a Christmas film, but it still always gets me excited about Christmas.

  4. Do you have any funny Christmas memories?
When I was about 12 I got an iPad for Christmas, and at the time I didn't want one at all, so I didn't really know how to react, and now I literally can't live without it, and i am constantly on it.

  5. Talk us through your typical Christmas day.
This sounds so weird, but now I'm a teenager i actually set my alarm on Christmas day, because otherwise i would never get up. I set my alarm for about 7 because it is awesome to get up early, I will usually check my phone, and then shout my parents, and we will all open presents. Then we usually have a nice breakfast, start getting ready, and then we will go to my grandparents house with all of my family, open more presents have an AMAZING Christmas dinner, and enjoy the rest of our day.

6. What do you eat for Christmas dinner?
For our starter my grandad makes home made tomato soup- it is to die for!! Then for our main we will have the usual roast potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, yorkshire puddings, and for the meat we usually have turkey, beef and gammon.

7. Do you have any Christmas traditions?
I'm not sure if its a tradition but sometimes our family all do a secret santa.

8. Which are your favourite xmas songs?
I LOVE mistletoe by Justin Bieber, but out of all of the traditional songs i can't choose as I love them all.

9. What is the best Christmas present you've ever received?
In the past few years probably my MacBook pro, or my iPad, but when i was younger probably a bike!

10. Real or fake Christmas tree?
We always have a fake one, and i think they look prettier because they're neater haha.

I hope you have all enjoyed this post, and getting to know all of the things I do/like about Christmas. Instagram: @s.nowflakes

My Christmas wish list 2014

Hey guys, so it's coming up to Christmas, and if your anything like me, then a few days ago I didn't have a clue what I wanted. It's so annoying when you don't know what you want, and your parents keep asking you for ideas!!!

Well first of all I just want to say I am not bragging in anyway, I'm just going to show you things on my wish list, that may help you out with some ideas. All of these items have been recommended by my Instagram followers.

1. GHD straighteners.
These are expensive, so these would probably be one of my main presents, however I have heard really good reviews about them, so I know they will be worth it.

2. Clothes
For me it is really hard to let my parents buy me clothes, as I need to choose my own. So I have sent a few links to my parents on certain clothes I like at the minute, in particular these jack wills leggings:

3. Pandora (rings, bracelet, charms)
I had a pandora birthstone ring for my birthday last month and I absolutely LOVE it!!! I totally recommend them, and I want another pandora ring for Christmas, altough I haven't totally decided which one yet.

4. Lucky charms
For those of you who don't know what these are, it's cereal. Yes I want cereal for Christmas.

5. Lush products
Lush products are so lovely, and they smell amazing. Especially the Christmas special products.

6. Tangle teezer
Most people already have one of these, I had one and lost it, so it's on my Christmas list!!!

7. Concert tickets!!
These are always a great present. For my birthday I had the vamps& union j concert tickets, and for an early Christmas present I'm going to the clothes show at the NEC.

8. High end makeup
High end makeup such as mac is so expensive, and I don't have any, so why not put it on your Christmas list!!

9. Celeb merchandise
My fav band is union j, I already have so much merchandise for example tshirts, bags etc, but I absolutely love getting union j gifts!! Whether your fav celeb/band etc is 5sos, one direction, justin bieber, joey essex etc, why not get some merch.

10. I love... Products
If you have never heard of these before, then your missing out. These smell AMAZING and you can get basically anything, whether it be shower gel, hand cream, bubble bath, body spray etc. I know you can also get this range from superdrug, and also they have mini versions in primark for great value.

Thank you for reading this blog post, I hope it has helped you!
Feel free to comment what your hoping for this Christmas.

Collection work the colour eyebrow kit

I purchased this product yesterday, (from boots for £3.99) hoping for it to give my eyebrows some colour and definition, however not to bold and obvious.

The packaging is really good, and easy to open, and the application of the product is fairly easy to use, once you have got used to it.

It has three different shades from dark to light. It looks a bit like eyeshadow, and it's the same texture as it. I find these shades really useful, because if none of these shades fit the colour of your eyebrows, you can mix them together.

As you open the packaging, you notice that it has a brush inside. The brush has two sides, one is an angled brush and the other is a round brush.

Also it comes with a clear brow mascara which I find extremely useful, to shape your brows, and to keep them tamed.

Overall, I am really happy with this product, and I think it is really cost effective.

Soap and glory supercat eyeliner

Hello! I have never done a post like this before so I thought I would try it! Please let me know what you think, either comment below or tell me on Instagram: @candyfloss.clouds

So recently I have purchased the supercat eyeliner in the brand soap and glory. I really like it, and it is so easy to do the 'cat eye' that everybody tries, and I know for a fact I always fail! It has quite a long, thin tip which makes it easy, and it is similar to a felt tip. It is not a dark black, so if you want that effect you have to go over it a few times. It was £6 from boots, however the only problem I have with it is that it doesn't last that long. After an hour or so it fades and then soon you can't see it. So therefore I am going to use it as my base eyeliner to get the shape, and then go over it with a liquid eyeliner that lasts.

Revision & homework tips!

Hello! So this is a different kind of blog post today, due to the fact lots of people are going through exams at the moment. So I thought that maybe this would help you!

Revision tips:

1. Spread your revision out over a number of days. Don't try and do it all fast.

2. Try and do some last minute revision the night before, or in the morning just to make sure it stays in your head.

3. Make sure you have some fresh water to get you through, so your not dehydrated.

4. When you have done around 30 minutes go and get a snack to keep you going.

5. Make your notes look pretty- use colours! Some people may find this a waste of time, but personally for me it makes it easier to revise!

6. Use revision books, they are layed out easier, and you know that the infomation is 100% correct.

7. Take short breaks ever hour.

8. Use post it notes! Stick them around the house, and write formulas on them! Eg, for maths you could write the quadratic formula on one, and stick it on the fridge!

9. Try reading difficult bits in a funny accent, it will make it easier to remember!

10. Do lots of practice exam papers!

11. Turn ALL of your devices off!! Such as your ipad, and phone, as these always get me distracted!

12. Turn the tv off, so it doesn't distract you, or you could put the radio or music channel on, if you find it easier to listen to something whilst working!

Homework tips!

1. Get it done ASAP, don't just wait until the night before.

2. Write down all homework in your planner.

All of the above tips also work for homework!

If your doing exams, good luck and I hope this blog post has helped!
Also if you have a minute follow my insatgram @asprinkle0flife
